I think the hale fam has some serious genetic defects in their dance skills. I did not see this live from baby jesus, BUT I can reason my way and visualize just how excellent this was in person…..add that to the whole KMH “I can do the worm!” fiasco of 2004, and the “work it out” abdominal crunches done on the bar floor in peoria and I think I have found a research plan…I will find the missing/extra chromosome.

Tie Or Die = two adorable boys competing against one another for a month to see who is ultimately the best dressed/knows how to rock a tie. Ummm, YES. I am all about this. So sad I only found out about it today because it finishes in 11 days.

Basically, look at pictures of 2 cute boys in ties and vote for the cutest. Thanks, internet.

I mean let’s be serious:

Monday-find out I have H1N1 flu AND pneumonia. ~~score.~~

Tuesday-fall down stairs in my house where I am quarantined and it hurt and I thought I was injured and then realized there was NO ONE to help me…..and then I got to thinking about how I am going to me alone forever and there will never be anyone to help me when I fall down the stairs, b/c let’s be serious it’s not if it happens again, it’s when. ~~score~~.

Wednesday-had my FIRST cavity of my life filled today. I did not appreciate this maneuver…..my cavity was actually between two teeth which resulted in two tooths (teeth?) being drilled and gum pain…..apparently until forever….~~score~~.

I will be washing my hands constantly, drinking Emergen-C nasty drinks three times a day, taking all stairs like a 60 year old osteoporotic woman (holding handrails and cautiously taking each step) and finally flossing and brushing until my teeth shine shine shine.

I had to go to walgreens…..like i said it’s lonely being quarantined. And I love snuggies, and I love to see this dog snuggie!

ps: I’m pretty sure bed rest is for when you’re pregs….i’m just chubby.

Dear KMH, this update is for you. So that you may be kept up to date with my lingo….I know you have been a fan of the previous overused and completely appropriate sayings “not right” and “too much”, now I present to you my newest favorite. Scenario set-up—> when anyone asks me anything, even if I know the answer or might have some inkling of anything about it, or I might even have an abundance of information on the topic my response is, “never heard of it/him/her”. Here are a few instances in which I have adopted its use, and also found it to be a perfect response:

1-nurse:”EKB, have you seen ‘so-and-sos chart’?”

Me: “Never heard of him.”

Nurse: “first of all you just left the room, and second of all it’s a woman.”

Me: “Never heard of her.”

2-classmate:”EKB, do you know where Sarah is?” (note Sarah is one of my roommates)

Me: “never heard of her.”

As you can obviously see, this response will serve you well and leave most people ~~happy~~ annoyed with you, but leave you not-involved and with no need to help them. Also most importantly you will find it funny, as you sit lazily without having to help anyone with things that you most likely know a lot about.

At what point did I become a “ma’am”?! Ugh….I think I’m too young for...

2-spiders in my house. need i say more?

3-doing laundry takes at least twice as long as I think it will b/c I forget about it, increasing the between cycle time-frame and also b/c I always forget that each load actually has to go through TWO machines, thus doubling the time needed. hate it.

4-my armpits will not be cooperative with my new anti-perspirant

5-I want to eat all the sweets I can find, but I already need elastic waisted pants so I may go in public. arg.

This is the time of day (after 5 hours of studying) that my headache/nausea/hip-arthritis/eye-sight-issues, set in. I have none of these actual illnesses, but everyday this same ‘syndome’ sets in….I guess it’s time to go to von maur and look at things that I’m too poor to buy.
